Google’s Gemini 2.5 model series is receiving a series of updates. Gemini 2.5 Pro continues to excel, now leading in the WebDev Arena and LMArena coding leaderboards. New capabilities include native audio output, improved security, and the integration of Project Mariner’s computer use functions. Furthermore, an experimental “Deep Think” mode for enhanced reasoning is being introduced. 2.5 Flash is also improving with enhanced efficiency and is now available in the Gemini app and will be generally available in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI in early June. Developers will also benefit from improved API features like thought summaries, thinking budgets, and MCP support.
