Google has launched SynthID Detector, a new portal designed to identify AI-generated content created using Google’s AI tools. This tool scans images, audio, videos, and text for SynthID watermarks, indicating portions of content most likely generated by AI. Initially focused on images, SynthID now covers text, audio, and video generated by Google’s Gemini, Imagen, Lyria, and Veo models. This launch also includes open-sourcing SynthID text watermarking and partnerships to extend the SynthID technology’s use, aiming to enhance content transparency and combat misinformation in the evolving AI landscape.
