AI Powers New Music Creation Tools from Google
Google is expanding its Music AI Sandbox, providing musicians with new tools to explore AI-driven music creation. The updated platform includes Lyria 2, a new music generation model offering high-fidelity audio outputs. The sandbox features “Create,” “Extend,” and “Edit” tools for generating ideas, developing existing tracks, and transforming music with text prompts. Google emphasizes collaboration with musicians and responsible deployment of generative AI, with all Lyria 2 and Lyria RealTime music watermarked using SynthID technology. Musicians in the U.S. can now access these tools and are encouraged to sign up and provide feedback.
